Robert “Bob” S. Jones
President

Bob graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1973 with a BS in Business Administration. He began doing small construction projects on his own in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In 1984, he started R.S. Jones and Associates Incorporated and in 1987, he and his wife Carol started Boring Contractors, Inc. (now Jones Road & Bridge) to serve Southwest Virginia.

Bob has managed and successfully completed hundreds of DOT road projects, utility projects, and rail projects over the last several decades. He is still involved in all aspects of the business including management, project estimation, and equipment purchases.

Outside of work at Jones Road & Bridge, Bob enjoys looking at and investing in real estate, spending time with his family (mostly the grandkids!), attending auctions, and farming.

L. Turner Jones
Vice President

Turner grew up in the construction business, having traveled to job sites in a car seat with his dad Bob beginning at the age of 3. He started working on job sites and around the shop as soon as he was able. He worked every summer through high school and college, graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2015. Turner began working in the construction business full-time after graduation as a superintendent, having worked his way up in the company from a laborer, equipment operator, and foreman. As a superintendent, he managed grading and utility projects, but he also took on the additional responsibility of looking for ways to expand the company. In 2019, he transitioned into the Vice President role where he is now involved in all aspects of the business including operations, equipment and personnel decisions, project management, business administration, and logistics.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, and farming.
